Pavilion: The Arbor has an outdoor Pavilion, with fireplace, which is used for community activities such as Happy Hours on Fridays (1st and 3rd Memorial Day through Halloween), Chili Dinner each October and the Lake James Clean-up each Spring. It is located off Anchor Drive, with parking available. There is also a separate building that has a bathroom and storage for the Social Committee. The Pavilion is available for rental by POA Members. Reservations can be made by contacting our Property Management Company (FSR) for a very modest fee.
Boat Docks (Residential Marinas): The Arbor has 106 Boat Slips at two separate docks located near each waterfront end of The Arbor (one off Anchor Drive and the other off Water’s Edge Drive). These Slips are deeded to Property Owners (McDowell County records), who are obligated to pay an annual fee established by The Arbor’s Board to cover maintenance, repairs, electricity, reserve funds and annual fees charged by Duke Energy. Sale and/or annual rental of these Slips is only permitted between Property Owners within the Arbor (not for non-Owners).
Boat Storage: The Arbor has a fenced in, gated boat storage facility, for boat trailers and boats. An application needs to be on file with a description of specific property with our Property Management Company (FSR). A modest annual fee established by The Arbor Board is charged for each space used by a Arbor Property Owner. A wait list has started.
