Welcome to The Arbor Property owners Association
About Us
The Arbor at Lake James Property Owners Association is a nonprofit corporation, governed by The Arbor Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CCR), the Association Bylaws, and the laws of the state of North Carolina.
- The members of the Association elect a 5-person Board of Directors to handle day-to-day business operations, with the assistance of a Property Management Company (FirstService Residential (FSR)) and other committees of members appointed by the Board.
- Our private roads, within The Arbor, are maintained by the Association. Budgets and major projects are voted on and approved by the Association at the Annual Meeting. To that end, the Board has a responsibility to keep all members informed throughout the year.
- Once someone becomes a member in The Arbor they need to register and communicate via the FSR connect portal for questions and concerns. The Arbor also has a Facebook page (The Arbor at Lake James) for additional member communications.
- This public website is voluntarily managed and is meant to be a resource, providing documents for The Arbor.

We are a community dedicated to building strong relationships between our neighbors and promoting a high quality of life within our neighborhood. Our association provides a variety of services and amenities to enhance the value of our homes. From maintaining common areas to enforcing community standards, we work hard to make our neighborhood a great place to live. Asheville, Black Mountain, Blowing Rock, Hickory, Marion, and Morganton are a few beautiful towns surrounding us with Arts, culture, restaurants, golf, hiking, and much more in between.
